Biographies
Bonnie M. Bullard, Ph.D., LMHC, brings a wide variety of education, clinical and teaching experience
to Psychotherapy Training Institute. She has 35 years experience in the Counseling and Special Education
fields working in and directing programs with both mentally and emotionally handicapped children and adults.
She has been a faculty member at Boston College and has been Adjunct Faculty at Fitchburg State College and
Framingham State College. She is presently Adjunct Faculty at Lesley University.
For the past 28 years she has been in practice in the mental health field maintaining private practices in Sudbury,
Belmont, and Sandwich MA. As both an educator and clinician in mental health clinics, Dr. Bullard has experience
conducting workshops on various subjects including DSM III-R, DSM IV, and Treatment Planning. As a founder of
Psychotherapist Training Institute, she has co-developed the LMHC Licensure Preparation Workshops and the Clinical
Mental Health Counselor Handbook and Study Guide. Dr. Bullard has been active in MA Mental Health Counseling
Association and is the Coordinator of the new MaMHCA Certified Supervisor Program.
Linda L. Lawless, MA, LMHC, LMFT, owner of The Professional Practice Institute, maintains a Private Practice and
provides Professional Practice Consultation and Training for mental health professionals. She has been licensed for
over 25 years, first in CA as a Marriage, Family Therapist and subsequently in MA as an LMFT and LMHC.
She has worked in the field of Mental Health for over 35 years beginning as a psychiatric vocational nurse.
Ms. Lawless has created successful professional practices in CA and MA and believes the future of the mental
health profession is best championed by professionals in successful private practices.
Linda has two books published by John Wiley & Sons, How to Build and Market Your Mental Health Practice (1997) and
How to Get Referrals (2000). As a co-founder of the Psychotherapists Training Institute, she has co-developed the
LMHC Licensure Preprartion Workshops and the Clinical Mental Health Counselor Handbook and Study Guide.
Linda is also the founder and Administrator of the LMHC Continuing Education Program (MMCEP) for the Board of Allied
Mental Health and Human Services Professionals in Massachusetts.
Midge Williams, MA, LMHC, has been the Executive Director of the Massachusetts Mental Health Counselors Association (MaMHCA) since 1996.
She has also been in clinical practice for 33 years. She was a co-director of Tapestry Counseling for 17 years,
before establishing WomenÕs Counseling Associates, in Belmont, MA. & Sandwich, MA. She has also served as adjunct faculty at
Fitchburg State College, Graduate Counseling Division, where she taught Practicum and Internship Seminars.
Ms Williams has developed many workshops, and training programs, including the LMHC Continuing Education Program (MMCEP)
for the Board of Allied Mental Health and Human Services Professionals. As a founder of Psychotherapists Training Institute,
she has co-developed the LMHC Licensure Preparation Workshops and the Clinical Mental Health Counselor Handbook and Study Guide.
She is a Past President of AMHCA (2001-2002), has served as the AMHCA liaison to the American Association of State Counseling Boards,
and several other AMHCA and ACA committees.
Deborah Bergstrom, PTI partner and production manager, has provided administrative support services to Mental Health Agencies and
provider groups for over 35 years. She owns and operates Professional Billing Services, which provides a range of billing services
for mental health services providers. She is the Business Manager for the Massachusetts Mental Health Counselors Association,
and itÕs affiliate Continuing Education Certification Program, MMCEP. She also provides administrative services to the Consortium
for Psychotherapy, and the Guardian Ad Litem Association in Massachusetts. |
